Native Instruments has also updated the Komplete Kontrol series of keyboard controllers. Maschine can emulate the sampling engines of classic samplers like the SP1200 and the MPC 60 and can be powered by USB 2.0 or an included power supply. The 16 drum pads can handle 16 levels of velocity and can function as a step sequencer, while note repeat, swing and pad link are also available.
Two hi-res colour displays streamline the process of sample slicing, sound browsing and sound editing and a touch strip can be used for strumming notes and controlling effects. 25 effects, such as delay, compressors and EQ, are also included. It comes with 8 GB of samples, loops, drums and presets as well as Komplete Select 11, which contains 25 GB of instruments and effects like Massive, Monark, Reaktor Prism and Drumlab. Now Native Instruments has added a 96 kHz / 24-bit audio interface with two 1/4-inch ins and outs to the package, allowing users to record and route audio directly into and out of the device. The Maschine is a widely-used tool for music production and performance, which integrates hardware and software into a system that functions as a sampler, sequencer, mixer, arranger and more. Native Instruments is releasing a new version of the Maschine.
